Leap Date… er, Leap Day is coming!

Did you know that Leap Day is this Friday? If so, what are you going to do?

If you said you hadn’t thought about it yet, well you still have a few more days to do so! This will be the third Leap Day Sara and I have experience together… all of them while we were married. I think it was her idea, but we decided to do something special every February 29th. So, we’ve renamed the day from Leap Day to Leap Date. The first time this came around we were both in school and working part time. We didn’t have much money, so we went to an Olive Garden for a desert date. Four years later we were living in Indiana. I actually flew in that evening from New York as I had been spending a few days with my best friend from High School (a special gift from Sara and my family that year). We went to the Macaroni Grill for dinner and were later joined by good friends.

So, I’m excited for the third time around. It’s a really special treat that we both look forward to every four years. I really helps looking for things to make occasions a little more special. For us it’s leap date and we love out little tradition!
