On our way out of Atlanta, we got to hit The Varsity on our way out of town. Apparently, I’m the only one who hadn’t heard of or eaten at this establishment. What an amazing place. This place has been situated across the street from Georgia Tech for over 75 years. Today, The Varsity is the world’s largest drive-in restaurant.
They can accommodate 600 cars and 800 people inside. On days that Georgia Tech has a home game, they’ll feed 30,000 people. That’s HUGE!
Here are some other amazing stats: “Two miles of hot dogs, a ton of onions, 2500 pounds of potatoes, 5000 fried pies and 300 gallons of chili are made from scratch daily.”
So, if you find yourself in Atlanta, I definitely recommend The Varsity!

We’ve been to the Varsity while we were on a mission trip in Atlanta and I must agree – it is awesome!

Did your wife go to Moody? She looks very familiar – despite the fact that she shares the same name as my wife, Sara. 🙂
Thanks for the updates. Merry Christmas too!
