After all the hiking around Lake Louise, we decided to take the Bow Valley Parkway back to our hotel. This is a less traveled (I guess) two lane road that covers the distance between Banff and Lake Louise. It’s only a mile or so from the main road running parallel, but more nestled in the trees and mountain streams. The speed limit is slower, but the views are spectacular.
What make this drive amazing were the beautiful fall colors. We hit the season just right. We got to enjoy the yellows and reds of Banff. We pulled over at a little roadside picnic area called Muleshoe (I’m not exactly sure what else there was here) and took these amazing photos.
