Sara and I had a funny conversation last night. We’ve always joked about how I usually wake up in the middle of the night where I’m halfway hanging off my side of the bed and Sara’s right next to me leaving almost all of her side of the bed wide open. I think we figured out why this happens. When I sleep, I need my space. When Sara sleeps, she want’s to cuddle. So, subconsciously I keep moving to the edge of the bed to get away and she continues to move towards me to cuddle. Eventually I get to the end with nowhere else to go… trapped between a cuddler and the edge of the bed… which is where I sleep. Oh well, I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🙂
It did remind me of this diagram from graphjam.com though.
At the end of our conversation she said that at some point we should invest in a king sized bed. I agree, but when it’s all said and done… this is what a king size bed will get me.
We’re probably talking another 3 or 4 inches… but that’s progress, right?
